About SCRIN

South Carolina’s Rural Innovation Network (SCRIN) is a modern action tank committed to revitalizing, re-energizing, and future-proofing rural communities across the Palmetto State.

Inspired by the Center on Rural Innovation (CORI), SCRIN opened its doors in 2018 to address the tech-skills gaps facing our state’s rural communities by facilitating the development of Digital Economy Ecosystem (DEE) roadmaps. Using CORI’s model, we partner with small towns and counties to ignite economic transformation by increasing digital literacy, skills, jobs, and entrepreneurial activities.

In 2019, SCRIN joined forces with the South Carolina Office of Rural Health (SCORH) to expand the momentum behind the rural revival and empower communities to improve their local economies – and the physical health of their citizens – by leveraging existing assets to create pathways to the growing tech economy.

SCRIN facilitates roadmap development and action planning on a local level and provides ongoing support to our state’s expanding network of DEE communities.
